Columbia PD make drug bust

Police have made issued an arrest warrant for one of the biggest drug busts in recent Columbia history. After a year-long investigation, Columbia Police Department detectives seized more than 200 of marijuana with a street value of more than $600,000.

Investigators found the marijuana and $10,000 in cash in two separate homes, located just blocks away from Rock Bridge High School.

On Friday, police issued an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Eric McCauley, of Columbia, for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Columbia police are working with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency and the Missouri State Highway Patrol on this case as the investigation continues.
