Columbia man wanted for sexual abuse arrested

Willie Ambercrombie

An arrest has been made in two separate child sexual abuse cases.

Thursday afternoon, 29-year-old Willie Abercrombie was arrested for first degree child molestation and second degree statutory rape.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Abercrombie for an outstanding probation and parole warrant during a traffic stop in Saline County where Abercrombie was the passenger in the vehicle. Abercrombie was then transferred to the Boone County Jail.

In September of 2012, Columbia police took a report from an 11-year-old female victim who said she was touched inappropriately by Abercrombie.

Then in April of 2013, a 14-year-old victim said she was sexually assaulted by Abercrombie.

In both cases Abercrombie knew the two different families.

He's in the Boone County Jail with a bond of $4,500 for the statutory rape charge. His bond for the child molestation charge hasn't been set.
