      Columbia man threatens ATV riders with shotgun

      63-year-old David Baker was arrested after threatening ATV riders with a shotgun on Sunday night.

      A Boone County man has been arrested after threatening ATV riders with a shotgun in the 800 block of Nance Drive on Sunday night.


      Sheriff's deputies were called out around 7:45 p.m.



      They found 63-year-old David Baker had confronted ATV riders in the area about their high speeds.



      During the confrontation, Baker brought out a shotgun, pointed it at the individuals and made verbal threats towards them.


      Baker was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and third degree assault.


      He is being held in Boone County Jail on $5,000 bond.
