A Columbia man was arrested for stealing guns and tablets from a local towing company.
Dustin Lipich was caught within nine hours of committing the burglary at Carl's Towing in Columbia. Police were called just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday and obtained a search warrant for Lipich's home.
During the search, officers found stolen rifles in Lipich's vehicle, as well as handguns and tablets inside his apartment. He was arrested for first-degree burglary, second-degree property damage and felony stealing. Bond for the property damage charge is set at $500. Bond has not yet been set for the other two charges.
