Columbia home damaged by attic fire

The Columbia Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Spring Valley Road at 9:51 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24th.
The firefighters found heavy fire and smoke in the roof above the garage on their arrival four minutes later.
Columbia Fire personnel managed to contain the fire in approximately five minutes.
The flames were contained to the attic area above the residence's garage.
No one was injured.
The cause is under investigation and a damage estimate has not been determined at this time.
Six Columbia Fire Department units responded to the call.
