Armed robbers forced their way into a Cole County apartment Monday night.
Police say three black males entered the apartment at 5209 Collier Court, Apt. B shortly after 10:30. The intruders ordered two of the four residents to lie on the floor with their faces down during the robbery. One suspect was armed with a hand gun and the other had a hammer. One of the victims was struck in the head with the hand gun while he was laying face down on the floor. The suspects fled the apartment with cash and several electronic devices.
The victims were able to give Law Enforcement a description and direction of the suspect vehicle. The police located the suspect's vehicle, but they wouldn't pull over, causing a short pursuit. The suspects soon crashed their vehicle into a rock bluff on State Route C and Hemstreet, and fled on foot.
The Jefferson City Police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol were able to capture two of the suspects, Kendrick Warren and Byron Davis. The vehicle was confiscated and towed to the Cole County Sheriffâ??s Department for processing.
Kendrick Warren and Byron Davis were transported to the Cole County Jail where they are awaiting formal charges. One suspect is still at large and his identification is unknown at this time.
