Child molestation charges results in man on the run
Wed, 12 Jun 2013 16:41:20 GMT — A Blue Springs man is on the run after being charged with child molestation in April. Police said they received a call from the mother of an 11-year-old girl who said she was touched inappropriately. According to a probable cause statement, the child stated in a forensic interview that during a 3-wheeler ride, 29-year-old Marcus Dixon touched her vagina over her clothing. The child stated that Marcus then took her to the side of his house, where he again touched her on top of her shorts, asking if it felt good. According to the document, the child left crying and ran home. Dixon failed to show up for an interview with police so he could share his side of the story. When Dixon later came to the police station, he initially denied the 3-wheeler ride, however, later admitted that he gave the girl a ride. In April, Dixon was taken into custody on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of charges.
