Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery at a cellphone store.
At about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Detectives with the Columbia Police Department Criminal Investigative Division along with detectives with the Jefferson City Police Department arrested Jamaar Curtis, 31, and Antonio Banks, 22.
The men were arrested for first-degree robbery, felonious restraint and armed criminal action.
Police said Monday at 6:15 P.M., Curtis and Banks went in the U.S. Cellular store at 1301 Grindstone Parkway in Columbia and robbed it.
Curtis pointed a handgun at a man and ordered him to go to the back of the room, according to police.
The armed robbers stole cellphones and an undisclosed amount of money from the business along with the victimâ??s cellphone, wallet and cash.
The next day, police said Curtis tried to sell twenty of the stolen U.S. Cellular phones to a business in Jefferson City.
On Wednesday, the men were taken into custody when they went back to the Jefferson City business to get money from the stolen cellphones.
