A man died from his injuries in a Sunday morning car crash.

The Osage Beach Police Department stated a 1990 Chevrolet Trailblazer had stopped on the road in the 5400 block of Osage Beach Parkway at 11:39 a.m. As officers approached the vehicle, it drove away.

The Trailblazer, driven by 69-year-old James Ferguson, approached the end of the parkway at Lazy Days Road and drove through the barricade. The vehicle went airborne, flipped end over end and struck a guardrail, landing on U.S. Highway 54.

Ferguson, of Camdenton, was believed to have had a medical issue at the time of the crash, according to police. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries Sunday; officers said Monday he had died.

Ferguson was not wearing a seatbelt.
