Camdenton man charged with raping mentally disabled girl
CAMDEN COUNTY —
The Camden County prosecutor charged a Camdenton man Tuesday with multiple sex crimes involving a mentally disabled teenager.
The prosecutor charged John Gregory with rape, assault, armed criminal action and sodomy.
According to court records, the victim was a 17-year-old girl with a diagnosed mental disability which places her mentality to that of a 10-year-old child.
The girl told investigators Gregory forced her to have sex with him on multiple occasions. She said, “She did not give him permission, didn’t like it, told him no and fought him but she always lost.”
She said the incidents happened at multiple locations including in Gregory’s truck and in the woods while on motorcycle rides.
Court records indicated the girl gave directions to the locations, which placed the two at Hugo Cemetery and Circle A Ranch Road.
The girl also told investigators Gregory hit her with the butt of a gun, which she described as a rifle, bruising her leg.
During interviews, authorities said Gregory admitted to having sex with the girl when she was 16 and he was 26.
