Callaway County man charged with more child sex crimes

Dale Dietsch, 45, is charged with three counts of statutory sodomy involving a child under the age of 14.

A Callaway County man, already behind bars, faces more child sex crime charges. Wednesday, the Callaway County prosecutor charged 45-year-old Dale Dietsch with three counts of statutory sodomy involving a child under the age of 14. However, Dietsch is already in jail after he was charged in February with promoting child pornography and possession of child pornography. Those charges came about after a joint investigation by the Holts Summit Police Department and the Boone County Sherrif's Department Cyber Crimes Task Force. During that investigation, police learned Dietsch babysat children who lived near his trailer on North Summit Drive in Holts Summit. Investigators talked with two of the children, ages 5 and 9, Dietsch had watched. The 5-year-old girl told police about instances of sexual contact she had with Dietsch, including times when she was forced to touch his genitals and times when he touched hers. The girl said the sexual contact happened between July 2012 and December 2013 in or around her home or in or around Dietsch's home. Dietsch is already in the Callaway County Jail for the charges of promoting child pornography and possession of child pornography with a bond of $10,000.
