Cadaver dogs continue search for body

The search continues for clues in the disappearance of Christopher Cray. Four cadaver dogs are currently being deployed in the search.

The search for a missing Jefferson City man continues Thursday, with four cadaver dogs belonging to the Boone County Fire Protection District on the scene.

Wednesday, only two of the highly-trained dogs were deployed to the Jefferson City scene where authorities hope to find evidence in the disappearance of Christopher Cray, 23.

Battalion Chief Gale Blomenkamp said his agency is providing mutual aid and is not in charge of the search. "We're looking where Jefferson City wants us to look," he said.

He would not specify where the search area is located.

Cray was last seen on May 20. One man has been arrested for hiding a body, although police have not confirmed the body is that of Cray.

Another man was arrested for threatening a witness in the case.
