Boone County man arrested in child pornography investigation
The Boone County Sheriff's Department Cyber Crimes Task Force arrested a 40-year-old man Thursday as part of a child pornography investigation.
James Roberts was identified as a suspect by the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation after investigators discovered someone communicating and distributing obscene images of child pornography to an Oklahoma subject, according to a release. Investigators said Roberts was using the message application Kik.
Roberts was said to live at 1616 High Quest Circle in Columbia.
He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree promoting of child pornography.
