Body found floating in Missouri River identified as Russellville man

Detectives have identified the person whose body was found floating in the Missouri River over the weekend.
The body was identified as Christopher Durbin, a 38 year-old male Russellville resident.
On Saturday around 11:00 a.m., Jefferson City Police were contacted by officials from Union Pacific Railroad regarding a body floating in the Missouri River on the north end of Chestnut Street by the old Missouri State Penitentiary.
An investigation by Jefferson City Police Detectives and Cole County Sheriffâ??s Detectives is underway to determine the circumstances of the death.
An autopsy is planned for Monday. Police said, "Nothing is ruled out at this time concerning the death investigation".
