Backpack left at a Tipton business leads to drug arrest

Deputies with the Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office and Tipton Police responded to a call of suspicious activity at a business in Tipton.

Upon arrival, deputies found the backpack that the suspect had left in the store which contained methamphetamine.

Authorities reviewed video footage from the store and identified the suspect as Seth Haldiman, according to a MCSO press release.

The Tipton Police Department, county deputies and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force went to the 26-year-old’s residence.

Officers obtained the consent to search the premises and found more meth and drug paraphernalia in Haldiman’s home.

The Tipton resident was taken into custody on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance on $50,000 bond. He was transported to Moniteau County Jail for booking.
