Some mid-Missourians went to the polls Tuesday in an election that features school district levy proposals and other tax issues.

One included the 50th district state house race, a seat which became vacant when Rep. Caleb Jones resigned to become Gov. Eric Greitens' Deputy Chief of Staff.

Boone County voters will also decide on a half-cent sales tax to fund transportation projects; Centralia and residents of north Callaway County are among those who will decide tax levy increases for schools.

The City of Tipton voted on funding a new public library, and Lake area voters decided on whether the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District will benefit a levy increase to cover its operating costs.
