      ATV stop leads to meth arrest

      A Vienna man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.


      A Vienna man is in Maries County jail on drug-related charges after police found methamphetamine in his all terrain vehicle early Sunday morning.


      Members of the Maries County Sheriff's Office saw the ATV stopped on Route V near Vienna without headlights on.


      Authorities suspected the driver, Jason Roberson, was under the influence of a controlled substance.


      A search of the car turned up suspected meth, and Roberson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and several traffic violations.


      Roberson has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.


      He was also on probation for drug violations.
