Columbia Police make an arrest in an armed robbery at Aspen Heights. Just before 5pm Thursday officers took 17 year-old

4498 Belleview Drive.

Detectives were there searching for evidence of the crime.
In a news release, police say Johnson was arrested for two counts of First Degree Robbery, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.

The victims of the robbery Tuesday were two 21-year-old women who live at Aspen Heights. They told police they were robbed at gunpoint by one suspect.

The first victim was outside in front of her apartment walking her dog when she was approached by the suspect who pointed a handgun at her. The suspect made her go inside her home where he demanded money from her and the second victim.

The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction after getting an undisclosed amount of money. Neither woman was injured.

This isn't the first report of violent crime at the south Columbia complex - it opened in the summer of 2013 and caters primarily to students.
