Pettis County deputies arrested a man Friday in connection with a shooting death of a 21-year-old mother.

Following up on investigative leads, detectives traveled to Oregon County to recover evidence and arrested 18-year-old Noah Kelliker in connection to the Jan. 9 shooting death of Cassandra White.

Cassandra White, of Sedalia, died from gunshot wounds sustained at a residence at the Western View Estates, a trailer park just outside of Sedalia's city limits.

The 18-year-old was already being held in Oregon County Jail after being apprehended Thursday morning by Oregon County authorities on an active Saline County warrant, according to a Pettis County press release. Kelliker had allegedly violated his terms of probation in an assault case.

Late Friday night, the Pettis County Prosecutor filed a four-count indictment against Kelliker. A warrant was issued charging him with second-degree murder, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

Kelliker is now in custody at the Pettis County Jail. His bond is set at $250, 000.
