Another man charged in connection to shooting death of Clinton police officer

35-year-old William Noble has been charged with tampering with physical evidence in the death of Clinton police officer, Gary Michael. (File).

Henry County prosecutors filed a charge against a man accused of disposing the rifle allegedly used to kill Officer Gary Michael.

Online court records show 35-year-old William Noble was charged Thursday with Tampering With Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution, a class E felony.

Noble allegedly threw the rifle into a body of water where troopers later found it Thursday.

Online court records indicate Noble lives in Clinton. Troopers said they found the gun about two miles north of town.

Noble was in the Henry County jail Thursday night on a $25,000 bond. An attorney was not immediately listed for Noble.
