Roads may be icy for some in Mid-Missouri early Monday thanks to rain showers. A low pressure system over Kansas brought rain as well as a few thunderstorms to the heart of the Show-Me State. With temperatures near or below freezing for our central and north/northeastern counties, rain will likely freeze on contact with the ground. Temperatures should be above freezing across the board by mid-morning with the rain coming to an end shortly after that.
Sunshine will take over for the afternoon with highs above normal in the mid-upper 40s. Skies will remain clear overnight dropping temperatures to right around the freezing mark. Sunshine and pleasant highs will be around on Tuesday.
