After several days with morning lows near zero, warmer weather has finally made its way into the heart of the Show-Me State. Thanks to high pressure, a tight pressure gradient and increasing clouds temperatures on Thursday morning will be nearly 25 degrees warmer than the previous days in the 20s and 30s. Clouds will linger through the day and the winds will be strong at times with gusts near 40 mph. Highs will be about 10 degrees above normal in the upper 40s.
Mostly cloudy skies will be overhead during the nighttime hours. Lows will fall to the seasonal norm of the mid 20s as a cold front moves through the area. This front will stall on Friday bringing occasional rain and snow through the day. Only minor accumulations are expected as of now, but roads may be slick in some areas.
