65-year-old man hospitalized after Morgan County shooting

Mon, 23 Sep 2013 17:47:47 GMT — UPDATE - 9/23/13, 3:30 p.m. - The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Leon Cott of Gravois Mills. Cott is out of surgery and is doing well at this time.The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Timothy Stovall of Gravois Mills. He has been charged with first-degree assault and felony possession of a firearm. His bond is set at $500,000. ORIGINAL STORY: A Morgan County man is in critical but stable condition after being shot in the head Sunday.The 65-year-old was found in his driveway on Wolf Way in Gravois Mills with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.The suspect, a 29-year-old man, was taken into custody without incident a short time later at his home on Forest Drive.The motive is unknown and charges are pending. This investigation is ongoing and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
