49-year-old convicted drug dealer faces new drug charges

Deputies found ten marijuana plants on the back porch and twelve plants in the backyard along with shotgun shells.

A convicted drug dealer is facing new felony drug charges.

Tuesday evening Camden County Deputies went to 49-year-old Gerald Spradling's home in the 400 block of Serpentine Road in Camdenton.

Deputies found ten marijuana plants on the back porch and twelve plants in the backyard along with shotgun shells.

No one answered the door but about two hours later, Spradling came home.

Officers say Spradling had pipes and crystal meth on him.

In his home and car, authorities found more bags of crystal meth and marijuana, packaging material, a measuring spoon, a digital scale and items to help grow marijuana.

They also found prescription drugs and firearms inside the home.

Spradling is charged with three counts of distributing, delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance as well as unlawful use of a firearm.
