Two 19-year-old men face second-degree murder charges in the hit-and-run death of a suburban St. Louis teenager, a case that authorities describe as a drug deal gone bad.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Kevin Labriado Jr. and Robert Bathe, both of O'Fallon, Mo., are charged in the death of 17-year-old Tyler Pinner.

Pinner was struck by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon outside his home in St. Charles County. Prosecutor Tim Lohmar said the suspects and three juveniles arrived at Pinner's home to buy marijuana, but refused to pay for it.

As Bathe sped away, Lohmar said Pinner hung on to the driver's side of the truck and was dragged several feet before losing his grip. He was run over.

Pinner died later that night of head injuries.
