Wed, 03 Jul 2013 15:56:39 GMT — A 15-year-old was taken into juvenile custody in connection with a fatal crash Saturday in Miller County. On June 29 at about 12:30 a.m., Highway Patrol Troopers said 15-year-old Jacob Ponder was illegally driving a mini-van on Curry Road just east of Highway U. Highway Patrol reports indicated that the van went off the left side of the road, through two fences and flipped over.Ponder's passenger, 15-year-old Collin Colvin, was killed in the crash.A petition has been filed alleging Ponder committed one offense, which would be involuntary manslaughter if committed by an adult.Juvenile Court officials said additional allegations are possible, pending the completion of an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.Ponder is being held in secure detention at the Mary Dickerson Juvenile Justice Center in Camdenton.
