A Columbia man is in jail this morning after a police chase through two counties.
The driver,Daniel Reese, 27, was arrested in Callaway County after driving away from police in Boone County.
The police pursuit started when a Boone County Deputy tried to pull over a car last night just after 11:00 p.m. on East Highway WW near Old Hawthorne Drive.
The car wouldn't stop and continued to flee police into Callaway County.
The chase continued into Fulton city limits, that's where Callaway County authorities put out spikes strips and eventually stopped Reese.
A deputy's patrol car received minor damage during the pursuit.
Reese was charged with Careless and Imprudent Driving, Driving Under Revocation, Felony Resisting Arrest, Possession of Cocaine (felony) and Possession of Marijuana Under 35 grams (misdemeanor).
Total bond for Reese was set at $10,145.
